St. Louis aldermen pass $1M abortion fund, await legal challenge from Schmitt
The Board of Aldermen on Friday gave final approval to spending $1 million in federal money to help St. Louis women get abortions in Illinois and other states where the practice remains legal. “This is an opportunity for St. Louis to lead, to show that we are not interested in backing down” after the recent Supreme Court reversal of the Roe v. Wade decision, said the bill’s sponsor, Alderman Annie Rice, 8th Ward. Shortly after the board’s 15-8 vote, Attorney General Eric Schmitt’s office reiterated his intention to file a lawsuit to challenge the measure. Opponents on the board repeated complaints that additional American Rescue Plan Act money assigned in the bill to other city Health Department purposes could be delayed by a lengthy court battle over the abortion-related money. That includes $1.64 million for additional COVID testing, treatment and vaccination at local health clinics and $500,000 for a new round of $100 gift cards to be used as an incentive to obtaining coronavirus shots.

The 100 Insider: Longtime prolife lobbyist at the MO State Capitol said it “is clearly unlawful” and “an affront to the taxpayers of Missouri who do not want to be forced to assist or participate in abortion in any manner.” Rep. Mary Elizabeth Coleman and prolife advocate weighs in saying “I’m not surprised that the mayor & board of alderman continue to focus on the wrong things. The city has rampant crime that is out of control, a prosecutor who refuses to prosecute and police force without enough funding and the city. They can’t even handle collecting trash. So what are they focused on? The city is diverting 2M of federal money into a fund that will never be used to pay for or assist women get an abortion. This is blatantly illegal and an effort to distract from their failure to govern.”
Bombshell Report Shows $44 Billion of COVID Money Was Sent to States that Pushed CRT in Schools
Roughly $44 billion of President Joe Biden’s American Rescue Plan COVID-19 relief bill was sent to states that implemented elements of Critical Race Theory (CRT) in their school districts, according to a new report from One Nation America (ONA). The $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan (ARP) authorized the U.S. Department of Education to spend more than $120 billion on the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER) to assist school districts in re-opening from the COVID-19 pandemic. The report by ONA, a conservative policy advocacy group, found that several Democratic-run states used the ARP ESSER funding to subsidize programs that taught the tenets of CRT, such as implicit bias training for faculty and diversity, equity and inclusion programs, in school curriculums in 13 states. CRT holds that America is fundamentally racist and teaches students to view every social interaction and person in terms of race. It advocates for the pursuit of “antiracism” through the end of merit, objective truth and the adoption of race-based policies.

ICYMI: Who Are These People? Missouri Republicans Raise State Gas Tax During Worst Gas Price Spike in US History
Republicans hold a 24-10 majority in the Missouri Senate. Republicans hold a 114 to 47 majority in the Missouri House of Representatives. Republican Mike Parson is governor of Missouri. Missouri Republicans raised gas taxes in Missouri. Who are these people? The current price for a gallon of regular gas in the United States hit $4.84 on Friday before the 4th of July Weekend. This is more than twice the cost from two years ago. Gas prices under Joe Biden have exploded! The cost is destroying the Middle Class and it does not look like the price will be easing anytime soon. The Biden regime is crushing the middle class with record inflation and gas prices. Missouri Republicans are helping them. At some point you have to ask — Are Democrats running as Republicans in the Missouri Senate and House? How else do you explain this? And it is only going to get worse in the coming years.

The 100 Insider: This is why The 100 PAC was formed. To exposed the deception of our states Republicans and to identify and elect true conservatives starting in the state senate where bills are brought forward and voted on. Our state needs to regain a majority of conservatives on the senate floor so that we can vote in conservative senate leadership. Out of 24 Republican senators, this would be 13 senators.
‘Historic’: Republicans Gain Voter Registration Advantage In Another State For The First Time Ever
New figures in Kentucky show that for the first time in history, Republicans outnumber Democrats in registered voters. Although the commonwealth has long largely voted for Republicans in national and local elections in recent years, Democrats still officially had an edge in registered voters going back over a hundred years. On Friday, new data shows that Republicans have 1,612,060 registered voters while Democrats have 1,609,569 registered voters. “After a century and a half, the birthplace of Lincoln has finally aligned with the party of Lincoln. Today is a grand day for all of us in the Grand Old Party who have worked so hard for so long to advance our goals of limited government and personal responsibility,” said Kentucky’s Republican Secretary of State Michael Adams. Senators Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Rand Paul (R-KY) both celebrated the development. “We are living a historic moment in the commonwealth,” Paul said. “The majority of people in Kentucky realize that their beliefs are best represented by the Republican Party.”
