Eigel Launches Petition for 7-1 Republican Map
This petition is an endorsement of the attached proposed Congressional redistricting map for the state of Missouri.
The Congressional districts in every state must be re-drawn with each census, which gives Missouri a once-in-a-decade chance to change the dynamic of who Missouri is sending to Washington DC.
President Donald J Trump beat Vice President Joe Biden by more than 15% in the election of 2020 in Missouri, and outside of the currently drawn 1st Congressional District, Donald J Trump and the Missouri Republican Party won all remaining Show-Me State voting precincts by an average of 25%.
Thus we believe the Congressional District should be drawn to best reflect that result, which likely would lead to the election of 7 Republicans and 1 Democrat.
The Missouri GOP Party Platform states in Article 1, Section 1, Paragraph 13, that "regaining control of both houses of Congress will reign in Washington and restore government to its proper place". This endorses a Congressional map that sends as many Republicans to Congress as possible.
We believe the map attached to this petition will accomplish this and will result in a federal Missouri delegation that is most likely to include 7 Republicans and 1 Democrat.
We believe that a vote taken against this "7-1" map is a failure to meet the intentions contained within Article 1 of the Missouri GOP Platform.
Specifically, the results in each of the Congressional District of the 2020 Presidential Election are as follows:
District 1: Biden +61
District 2: Trump +19
District 3: Trump +16
District 4: Trump +15
District 5: Trump +16
District 6: Trump +17
District 7: Trump +42
District 8: Trump +59
Therefore, in support of the Missouri GOP Platform and citizens across Missouri that want to fight back against the devastating policies of Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, we demand that the General Assembly and Governor Parson adopt the attached map as quickly as possible.
Conservative Caucus Senator Denny Hoskins Explains Tension in the Senate
Sen. Denny Hoskins breaks down the ongoing tensions in the Missouri Senate among the Conservative Caucus and other Republicans. He says there's a level of trust in the upper chamber that's been broken.
Take Action: Sign Petition to Remove Caleb Rowden as Missouri Senate Majority Floor Leader
The 100 has created a petition Republican Majority Floor Leader Caleb Rowden has broken trust with the Republican Party in numerous ways. We can do 2 things to urge Rowden to step down from his leadership position as Senate majority floor leader (the position is elected by the majority caucus members…it’s not a citizen vote).
1) Sign the petition below.
2) Call and email your Senator, letting them that because of the decisions Caleb
Rowden has made and the division he’s creating within the Republican Party, he should step down from the position of Missouri’s Senate Majority Floor Leader.
Caleb Rowden has betrayed republican voters. He has not kept his word to various republican senators and has consistently voted in ways that are directly against the Missouri Republican Platform.
He has voted directly against the Pro-Life cause --- he voted to continue public funding of abortion via Planned Parenthood (twice!).
He voted to undermine election integrity and security by supporting universal mail-in voting with or without cause.
He voted to fully expand and implement Obamacare in Missouri.
He voted for the largest tax increase in Missouri history.
And most recently, he signaled support to send more Democrats to Congress.
We need to hold our republican elected official accountable to first being truthful and second to uphold the planks of the Missouri Republican Platform. Sign this petition to remove Caleb Rowden as Missouri Senate Majority Floor Leader along with calling and emailing your Representing Senator (representing senator phone/email below) to tell them the same, “Caleb Rowden should be removed as Missouri Senate Majority Floor Leader.”
Today's Left Would Cancel Dr. King.
“I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” This quote, from the Rev. Martin Luther King’s most famous speech, is probably his best-known utterance. It was surely his most consequential. Until recently, it formed the nation’s racial conscience, helping all Americans of goodwill aspire to a society where one’s race is an incidental characteristic, not the essential end-all-be-all that determines how one’s life will proceed. That was the goal, anyway, until the pretend successors to King’s civil rights movement decided to throw his entire career into the dumpster and adopt racial essentialism. Today, with the rise of the toxic academic ideology known as critical race theory, the idea of a color-blind society, in which people are truly judged by merit and character over skin color, is no longer even a desirable goal. Indeed, the academic writings of critical race theory explicitly denounce color blindness as a white supremacist ideal that “preserves White privilege” and is “equivalent to emphasizing the plight of Nazis and the plight of White supremacists.”
