New York Governor Approves Aggressive Redistricting Plan that Could Wipe Out Several GOP Seats
New York’s Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul signed into law a redistricting plan that dramatically shifts the state’s political alignment in favor of Democrats and could have a significant ripple effect in the upcoming midterm elections.
Hochul signed the bill, which realigns 22 districts into heavily Democratic areas and 4 districts into Republican areas, which could result in up to four GOP seats in Congress being wiped out.
Conservative Ad Buy Hits Dems Over Masks, School Closures
The conservative groups State Government Leadership Foundation (SGLF) and N2America released an ad Thursday morning tying Democrats to school closures and mask requirements for students in the classroom, part of a six-figure national campaign launched last year. The 30-second ad, titled "Childhood," shows various clips of young children watching adults attend crowded and maskless gatherings juxtaposed with masked children sitting in socially distanced classrooms. "They see the excitement. They see the joy. They see what they are missing. Democrats are putting kids last. Teachers’ unions are putting kids last. Tell them to give kids their childhood back," text on the screen reads. The spot, which was first seen by The Hill, is the third ad in the groups' "Let Kids Learn" national campaign. It will air in Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota and Washington, D.C. on major television programs including "Good Morning America" and "The View," according to the groups...The ad comes as political battles over school closures and mask mandates continue across the country. Hours after being sworn into office, Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) signed an executive order that gives parents the ability to elect for their children not to be subject to mask requirements in Virginia public schools.

Opinion: The Consent of the Governed
By Jodi Grace
The government is supposed to function by the consent of the governed.
It's pretty apparent by reading the Governor's response to his defeated nomination that he's not really used to that. It's sad, really. And it's mostly our own fault.
But we are righting our wrongs and waking up, taking our place and occupying the ground that always belonged to us. We won this week and we are just getting started!
We are now going to rally behind our Conservative Caucus to show our appreciation for their willingness to fight for individual liberty! The battle at hand this week is to keep our Republican seats in the United States Congress.
The Missouri Senate will take up a bill sponsored by Senator Mike Bernskoetter Monday at noon. The bill has already passed the House and it contains a map that most believe is a weak 6:2 map. 6 Republicans. 2 Democrats.
Since it's weak, though, it could easily turn into a 5:3 map and we'd lose a Republican US House seat.
It's being brought up for perfection which means we don't have much time to make necessary changes. If they amend it to match the House bill and pass it, it's a done deal. There's a 2/22/22 deadline, so they need to work fairly quickly and get it done especially if they want to make changes, which we definitely do!
What most conservatives would prefer is a fair 7:1 map where we would GAIN a Republican seat and this is what the caucus is standing for. We are going to rally behind them!!

Many Took to Social Media to Share their Thoughts on Donald Kaurnauf
It seems like more liberals wanted Donald Kauernauf elected than Republicans. What should that say about Gov Parsons?
