Shamed Dogan Calls for Page to Release Tax Returns
The race for St. Louis County Executive is heating up with Republican Shamed Dogan calling on Executive Page to release his tax returns to prove he is not in violation of the county charter.
In a statement to the press Republican Shamed Dogan was quoted stating “The County Charter requires that "The county executive's entire time shall be devoted to the duties of the office.” It doesn't say, "unless you're a doctor." Sam Page should release his tax returns STAT if he wants us to believe he's not breaking the law.” Page needs to be upfront with the public. If he's making more from his supposed "part-time" work than his taxpayer-funded $140,000 salary, the public deserves to know. I am willing to release my tax returns from the past 2 years because I have nothing to hide. Is Sam?”
Schmitt Sues Biden Administration Over Border Wall Construction
Attorney General Eric Schmitt is suing the Biden administration for halting the construction of a wall along the country’s southern border despite having money earmarked for the project.
Schmitt announced the lawsuit alongside Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton from El Paso Thursday afternoon.
“Time and again, the Biden administration has refused to take concrete action to quell the worsening border crisis, inviting the cartels and human and drug smugglers to take advantage of our porous border,” Schmitt said in a statement. “Without a border wall, illegal immigrants, coyotes, and bad actors can simply march across our southern border and into the interior. The border wall needs to be built, the funds have been appropriated to continue to build the wall, and yet the Biden administration outright refuses to do so.”

Trump Announces Social Media Platform Launch Plan
Former President Donald Trump announced Wednesday he will be launching his very own media network, including a social media platform called “TRUTH Social,” in order to “stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech.” The app appears to be the first project of the Trump Media and Technology Group (TMTG), which will list on the Nasdaq through a merger with Digital World Acquisition Group, according to an announcement tweeted out by spokeswoman Liz Harrington. The transaction values TMTG at up to $1.7 billion, Harrington said. The new company, which lists Trump’s private membership club Mar-A-Lago as its address, will be chaired by the former president, who says that this “group’s mission is to create a rival to the liberal media consortium.” “We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American president has been silenced,” Trump claimed. Trump was notoriously banned by major social media giants earlier this year, following his posts related to the January 6 riots at the United States Capitol Building. The move doesn’t come as a total surprise. Trump and his team of advisors have dropped hints for months that he might launch his own social media app to rival Facebook and Twitter.
New Hampshire Democrats Want Biden Primaried in 2024
In one of the first signs that dissatisfaction with President Joe Biden goes beyond grumbling, more New Hampshire Democrats than not want him to face challengers in their first-in-the-nation 2024 primary. The latest University of New Hampshire survey of primary voters found that Democrats, by a 45% to 29% margin, want Biden to face “opposition in primary.” Some 26% were unsure. That is a switch from July when the same poll found that only 29% of Democrats wanted the president primaried, 38% preferred that he run unopposed, and 33% were unsure. Biden has also lost reelection momentum in the state. In July, 49% of state Democratic primary voters said they planned to vote for Biden in 2024, 9% wanted an alternative, and 43% were unsure. Now, “don’t know/not sure” leads at 52%, 37% plan to vote for Biden, and 11% want another candidate. The findings come as all New Hampshire voters express disgruntlement with both Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. Both have been on a steady path down in the university’s test of approval ratings. The survey found that among all primary voters, 53% have an unfavorable opinion of the president versus 34% with a favorable opinion. Harris's unfavorable rating, meanwhile, is at 55%, and her favorable rating is at 24%.
