Biden’s America…?

President Biden has utterly failed the American people and our allies with his handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal earning him strong criticism from even the Main Stream Media!  Many Americans are left wondering why top military experts were ignored in the process and why Biden was more focused on educating generals on critical race theory than coming up with a clean exit strategy.  Our thoughts and prayers are with those American allies on the ground attempting desperately to flee the country for safety.

Heated Meeting Brings Mask Mandate to Missouri School

Park Hill School District will be requiring students to wear masks, at least for the time being, during the upcoming school year.  The board decided with a 6-1 decision that all people ages 3 and older would be required to wear masks. You can watch the controversial and often-heated discussion from Monday night’s meeting here.

Early Census Numbers Show Regional Growth, Decline

Early census numbers are in for Missouri which will guide the redistricting process for state house, senate, and congressional seats. The state population barely grew over the past decade at a modest 2.8%.  While there was no significant growth, there was enough to keep Missouri from losing another congressional seat.  If Missouri is to keep all of its congressional seats in 2030, we will need to see some significant growth over the next decade.

Quick Facts:

  • Population dropped throughout northern Missouri and southeast Missouri, specifically the Boot-heel region.

  • Most counties saw decline with 78 of the state's 114 counties reporting fewer people.

  • Ripley County (southeast Missouri) saw the greatest decline with 24% fewer people compared to only a decade ago.

  • The Greater Kansas City region and Missouri suburbs saw the largest growth.

  • Platte county saw the largest growth at roughly 20% increase.

  • Christian, Clay, Lincoln, Boone and Platte county comprised the top five counties of growth in the state.

  • Rural Missouri and the city of St. Louis now have fewer residents compared to a decade ago.

  • St. Louis’ population decreased by 5.5%, with a loss of roughly 18,000 people.

Race-Based Curriculum coming to Francis Howell Schools

Francis Howell School District hired Dr. LaGarrett King last year to assist with developing race-based courses for the 2021-2022 school year. The courses are being heard for final approval on Thursday. $15,000 in taxpayer money was paid to King for his work on the curriculum.  During a webinar with the school’s curriculum team King emphasized his support for incredibly controversial topics such as “white fragility”, The 1619 Project, Critical Race Theory and his objections with the U.S. political system and the way American history is currently being taught.

Senator Bill Eigel took to Facebook to slam the district’s decision to bring divisive curriculums into the public school classroom.

“Critical Race Theory is a lie that implies America is a racist country and was founded to perpetuate the institution of slavery.

And tomorrow night, Francis Howell School District will vote on whether to incorporate those beliefs into the school curriculum for our kids.

They’ve already been paying a professional liar, Dr LaGarrett King, with your tax dollars to design the lies that would potentially be exposed to our kids for the past year.

This guy has been working with teachers that are paid with our tax dollars on ways to deceive parents from knowing about what is actually going on in our classrooms.

As someone who has consistently supported state funding for our schools every year I have served in the Missouri Senate, I can say for certainty that the adoption of these lies and programs in any school district in St Charles County would end such support from me moving forward. This would potentially endanger future funding in districts that promote or support lying to our kids as a method of instruction.

If you are concerned about our kids being lied to about actual American history in our schools and are opposed to Critical Race Theory, I encourage you to show up for the FHSB meeting tomorrow night and let your voice be heard.

We cannot let this destructive lie spread further into our community.”

-State Senator Bill Eigel

Schatz Slams Conservatives, Promotes Rep. Aaron Griesheimer for support of tax increase

In a strange turn of events Republican Senator Dave Schatz took to the liberal St. Louis Post –Dispatch to bash his local central committee after the recent resolution we reported on censuring Schatz for ignoring the will of the people and holding up conservative legislation to see his gas tax passed.  In a wildly circulated article Schatz called the resolution “stupid”, “ridiculous” and blamed the “far right” conservatives for its passage.  Schatz also criticized conservative rising star, Ben Brown, for having a “conflict of interest”.  Brown is running to replace Schatz in the senate and has been a vocal critic of tax increases and government mandates.  Schatz suggested a more moderate republican like Rep. Aaron Griesheimer who also support the tax hike might be a better replacement.  Brown was quoted with the following response:

“I made it clear throughout the process that I was going to act as an impartial arbiter and not weigh in on one side or the other,” he said. “The idea that I would try and utilize the committee to amplify my own views is ridiculous, and completely casts aside the very real frustrations many Republicans feel regarding what transpired in the legislative session.”
