-- Jim Lembke, Director of The 100 PAC

Last night was a troubling night for the Missouri Senate Republican Caucus.

During a debate on a new higher education program called Fasttrack, that would provide taxpayer dollars to retrain Missouri workers in new career fields, the Conservative Caucus offered amendments that schools participating in the new program must meet three conditions:
1) That no school that enrolled unlawful residents of the United States would be eligible for the new taxpayer-funded program.

2) That no school that allowed biological males to participate in women's sports would be eligible for the new taxpayer-funded program.

3) That no school teaching and promoting the tenets of "Critical Race Theory" or any other curriculum that teaches that the United States is a racist country would be eligible for the new taxpayer-funded program.

Incredibly, a majority of the Republican caucus, including our leadership team of Senators Dave Schatz and Caleb Rowden, voted on a roll call vote to OPPOSE these amendments.

That's right--three separate and distinct votes were taken to SUPPORT public higher education institutions enrolling illegal immigrants, supporting institutions' ability to allow men to play in women's sports, and institutions' ability to teach the damaging and false narrative of Critical Race Theory.

All of these have been major priorities of Republicans across Missouri for the past 12 months. To see so many Republicans, oblivious to calls for action on these items, decided to oppose the Conservative Caucus efforts to make progress on these issues.

This is one more reason we need your support for The 100. It is increasingly clear the priorities of the current Republican Caucus has deviated from the Republican voters who sent them there.

We have an opportunity to make a difference in the 2022 election cycle, but we won't without your help and support. Thank you again for everything you have done for our cause.
