Jim Lembke Shares Thoughts on the Newest Redistricting Map

SD2: Great news for Nick Schroer as it appears John Weimann is cut almost completely out of that district.

SD26: Not great for Ben Brown to lose St Louis County, but split between moderates Jones and Tate likely keep him the favorite.

SD22: Map largely unchanged from from previous iteration

SD10: Map favors St Charles/Lincoln candidates over Callaway by a large margin. Great for Bryan Spencer.

SD20: lots of new lines but the dynamics remain unchanged for the two candidates, Curtis Trent and Brian Gelner

SD12: Dynamics unchanged for candidates.

TWMP Column: New Senate Map District By District

There has now been a few additional hours to analyze the new senate map, and we thought we would take a look at the map overall, district by district.

The biggest difference in this map and that previous map is that it shifts the weight of some of the districts from rural weighted districts to evenly split districts and even enhances the suburban influence inside several republican seats.

Now the overall reaction to the maps have been pretty harsh to say the least, however it all comes down to whose ox is getting gored.

Supporters Of ‘Ranked-Choice’ Elections Confident In Missouri Initiative

Efforts to implement a "ranked-choice" method of voting that would replace Missouri's partisan statewide primary elections are gathering signatures.

The group Better Elections is circulating an initiative petition that would amend Missouri's Constitution, with the intent of allowing voters more choice in who represents them. The ranked-choice method allows voters to vote for any candidate during a combined August statewide primary.

Become an Election Judge In Your County For April 5th

Beve Ehlen

“Check with your County Election Authority/County Clerk to see if there is a need for Election Judges in your county for April 5. Those of us who are concerned about election integrity should be first in line to take the opportunity to serve on the inside!! If your county is good, you can always go to another county to serve. Really. St. Louis County is where my husband and I serve. They are always short of Republican judges in STL County. I am sure there are still enough Republicans left in St. Louis County to fill the slots of Republican election judges, they just haven't been asked or encouraged to do so!”

States Banning or Restricting “Zuck Bucks”—UPDATED 3/17/2022

Private financing of government election offices under the guise of COVID-19 relief skewed voter turnout in the 2020 election and may have tipped the presidential election to Joe Biden.

The chief culprit was Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who poured $350 million into one sleepy nonprofit, the Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL). CTCL then distributed grants to hundreds of county and city elections officials in 47 states and the District of Columbia.

Despite its claims that the grants were strictly for COVID-19 relief, not partisan advantage, the data show otherwise. CRC research into grants distributed in key states—Arizona and NevadaTexasMichigan and WisconsinVirginiaNorth CarolinaPennsylvania, and Georgia—has documented their partisan effects. We have also catalogued our major findings at InfluenceWatch.
