The Senate’s Civil War
By Jim Lembke
The senate is at war. This war has been brewing for decades. It’s a war about first principles, about what is the proper role of government.
This is a civil war.
The victors will decide the future of our state, and the fate of the Republican Party. The battle lines are our God given rights of Life, Liberty and Property.
One side believes in an ever expanding, intrusive role of government, the other in a smaller, limited government.
The standard is not subjective. The objective standard is our founding documents and the MOGOP platform. This is not gray, but black and white.
Given the opportunity, we should always stand firm to protect life. Even at the cost of losing every federal dollar.
No matter the “emergency” we should always come down on the side of liberty.
Whatever the latest government program, that is going to “fix” a problem, we should always protect the property of the people.
The genius of our founding fathers was they realized that tyranny could only be restrained by a people that understood the proper role of government.
They knew that government’s only role was to protect the rights of the people. That government did not give us those rights, God gave them to us.
Today starts the second half of our legislative session. Like our founding fathers, we have a small group of determined patriots that are standing in the gap to protect our freedoms.

[Listen] Senator Bob Onder On The First Half Of The General Assembly
Missouri State Senator Bob Onder, one of the leaders of the Senate Conservative Caucus, joined Former Speaker Tim Jones recently on Springfield, Missouri’s 93.3/AM560 KWTO to discuss the first half of the General Assembly’s 2022 Regular Session and what to look forward to as the second half begins. Senator Onder explained the failure of Senate Leadership to work with the Conservative Caucus in crafting a “7 Republican – 1 Democrat” Congressional Redistricting Map as they instead argued for a rather weak “6-2” pro Nancy Pelosi map. Senator Onder also lamented Senate leadership’s lack of urgency in advancing an agenda consistent with other Republican state legislative majorities around the nation.

Who’s Behind Effort To Change Elections In Missouri? A Couple From Texas
JEFFERSON CITY — A multimillion-dollar effort underway to convince Missouri voters to change how the state conducts elections is being bankrolled primarily by a wealthy Texas couple.
On March 9, a Virginia-based group connected with John and Laura Arnold contributed $800,000 to the political action committee raising money to place a constitutional amendment on the ballot that would bring ranked choice voting to Missouri.
That brings the Arnold-connected financial input to over $3 million at a time when Republicans are trying to make it harder to use the initiative petition process to change the state Constitution.
As a not-for-profit, the group known as Article IV, does not have to disclose its donors.
But, corporate records show officers and directors at Article IV have strong ties to the philanthropic couple, who have funded similar voting change efforts in other states.

Missouri Wants To Stop Out-Of-State Abortions - Other States Could Follow
Features Rep. Mary Elizabeth Coleman
Missouri lawmakers want to stop their residents from having abortions — even if they take place in another state.
The first-of-its-kind proposal would allow private citizens to sue anyone who helps a Missouri resident have an abortion — from the out-of-state physician who performs the procedure to whoever helps transport a person across state lines to a clinic, a major escalation in the national conservative push to restrict access to the procedure.
Republican state Rep. Mary Elizabeth Coleman, who is pushing the Missouri policy as an amendment to multiple health bills, said it specifically targets a Planned Parenthood clinic in Illinois just across the river from St. Louis that opened in 2019 with the explicit goal of serving Missouri patients.
“If you believe as I do that every person deserves dignity and respect and protection whether they’re born or unborn, then of course you want to protect your citizens, no matter where they are,” Coleman told POLITICO. “If a Missouri resident is hurt, even in Illinois, by a product that they bought in Illinois, there is still jurisdiction for them to sue in a Missouri court because that’s home for them … and this is extending that same kind of thought to abortion jurisprudence.”

The RNC Has a Brilliant Way to Help Americans Fight Back Against Biden's High Gas Prices
As millions of Americans feel the pinch at the gas pump and the Biden administration does nothing but pass the blame, an increasing number of citizens are frustrated with what’s going on in this country.
What better way to get the word out that there’s an alternative to the Democrats’ foolishness on inflation and energy costs than to register Americans to vote? That’s what the Republican National Committee is doing, and they kicked off a voter registration initiative at gas stations this weekend.
The Hill reports that the first voter registration event took place in the Phoenix area on Saturday afternoon, where staff and volunteers spent two hours registering Americans who are angry about gas prices.

[Opinion] Blinded By Madness, America Needs God’s Truth
By Don Hinkle
“Law may prescribe that the male nipples be made equal to the female ones, but they still will not give milk.” – Professor/author Allan Bloom
In 1987, a University of Chicago professor wrote a book criticizing American higher education that jolted the American education establishment. The Closing of the American Mind spent several weeks on The New York Times Bestseller List, while it was met with praise from conservatives and ridicule from progressive liberals. In the book’s first sentence, Bloom wrote,” There is one thing a professor can be absolutely certain of, almost every student entering the university believes, or says he believes, that truth is relative.” Bloom continued, “The relativity of truth is not a theoretical insight but a moral postulate, the condition of a free society, or so they (the education establishment) see it. They have all been equipped with this framework early on and it is the modern replacement for the inalienable natural rights that used to be the traditional American grounds for a free society.”
