THE 100 REPORT

The primary mission of The 100 PAC is recruiting, supporting and electing common sense conservative Republicans to our Missouri State Senate who will willingly and eagerly seek to promote the platform of the Missouri Republican Party and do all they can to incorporate that platform into the laws of the State of Missouri.

In addition to providing you a wealth of information as to that mission and politics and public policy in general as to our state, our Executive Board is also involved in various projects on the national level.  Former Speaker Tim Jones helps us keep an eye on national issues, especially those that will end up affecting all of us in the Show-Me State, through various projects including the work he does for Grover Norquist and Americans for Tax Reform.  As part of his work with ATR, Speaker Jones is a member of the “Save America Coalition” whose goal is to do all it can to stop the current Big Government Socialist Spending Bill that has now passed the US House and is awaiting its fate in the US Senate. Speaker Jones provides us these updates this week:

From the Save America Coalition: “Save America, Kill the Bill!”

A Polling Update from Pollster Scott Rasmussen

  • Believe it or not, a majority of Americans are still not paying attention to the debate over the big government socialism bill.

    • As an indicator of that, only 43% of voters know that the infrastructure bill passed two weeks ago.

  • 55% of voters believe that too many people are receiving federal benefits rather than working.

  • Issues that we should message on based on polling are the SALT tax, funding for illegal immigrants, and tax benefits for trial lawyers.

    • Important to show that the SALT tax provision and trial lawyers benefits are a giveaway to wealthy elites.

  • Inflation continues to be a key messaging point to hit on.

An Update from Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform

House Democrats just passed the following bill that would do the following things if signed into law:

Hundreds of Missourians Rally in Capitol Over the Weekend to call Parson to Action

Saturday hundreds of freedom fighters from across the state gathered at the Capitol in Jefferson City for the Stop The Mandates Rally. Conservative candidate for State Senate, Ben Brown, spoke about his personal experiences combating corruption and government overreach and why it is so important to stand united in the fight for freedom.

Speakers called upon our governor to call a special session so that the legislature can do their job and defend the rights of the people. It's time to step up and protect the citizens of Missouri from these tyrannical and unconstitutional federal mandates!

Eigel, Curtman, other Missouri Conservatives Push Back on JP Morgan

The fallout of JP Morgan has continued with more and more elected officials calling for answers.  After Senator Eigel drew attention to the cancellation, US Senator Josh Hawley and Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick also joined the chorus of conservatives calling for answer.

WePay accused the event of violating its terms of service which prevents it from conducting business related to “hate, violence, racial intolerance, terrorism, the financial exploitation of a crime, or items or activities that encourage, promote, facilitate, or instruct others regarding the same.”  They later claimed the cancellation was an error after receiving sharp criticism from State and Federal leaders.

Lawsuit dropped after Jefferson County school district alters coronavirus policies

A lawsuit against the district, filed with the Jefferson County Circuit Court last month, sought to stop the district from enforcing quarantine and masking rules on students. The challenges were filed on behalf of two Jefferson County parents who said the order could have negative impacts on their children and other students.

The plaintiffs are represented by Rep. Mary Elizabeth Coleman, the county’s state representative, in her role as an attorney. Coleman said the legal team moved to dismiss their suit against the school Wednesday after the board’s vote. Coleman also filed a lawsuit against the health department on the parents’ behalf, a challenge that saw Judge Victor Melenbrink order the department to advise schools its recommendations regarding quarantine procedures are not binding mandates and to stop distributing a quarantine form that “misleads parents” by Thursday.

Vote Coming Soon on STL County Maps

Becky Arps, Co-Chair of the St. Louis County Bi-Partisan Reapportionment Commission, was on with Mike Ferguson recently to update listeners on the progress of the new county council boundaries. A final vote on the proposed map is expected Monday. There is a strong possibility this will be the first time since 1971 that the commission has agreed on a map without it having to go to court.

Voters want Biden to take cognitive test.

With a majority of likely voters believing President Joe Biden is “incompetent,” a sizable majority want him to undergo a cognitive test and release the results to the public. In a new McLaughlin & Associates survey shared with Secrets, 59% said they want the president to take the test and release the results. Just 33% said no.The poll was released as Biden, who turns 79 tomorrow, was set for his first physical as president at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Friday. It is unclear if he will take a cognitive test. Former President Donald Trump famously took the test and released the results to quiet critics who believed he was in over his head — as a majority now feel about Biden. The new survey also said that more voters feel Biden is incompetent by a margin of 52% to 43%. And 59% are now worried about the future of the country. However, their concerns about the president are not good news for Vice President Kamala Harris, who will briefly act as president Friday as Biden undergoes his colonoscopy. McLaughlin said 55% of voters view her unfavorably compared to 40% who view her favorably.
