Fitzpatrick Vows To Defy Proposed ‘Nonsensical’ IRS Reporting Rules
Treasurer Scott Fitzpatrick said he would not comply with the Biden administration’s proposed reporting rules for financial institutions, which he warned would jeopardize Missourians’ privacy, if they were to pass. The proposal would require financial institutions to report information on personal and business accounts with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) if they exceed $600 in incoming or outgoing cash, known as inflow or outflow, respectively.
“Turning over their transaction data to the federal government is illegal under Missouri law and a gross violation of Missourians’ expectation of privacy when it comes to their personal financial records,” Fitzpatrick said. “I will not turn this information over to the IRS voluntarily and will fight in court to block any attempt by the federal government to compel my office to comply with this mandate. This proposal is nonsensical and unnecessary and should be rejected by every member of Congress.”
Greitens Makes Other States, Country Key Part Of Race
It may be surprising to some that a candidate for U.S. Senate in Missouri would find time to spend in Arizona, Texas, and even Mexico—but for Eric Greitens it has become a key part of his campaign. Greitens is latching on to key national lightening rods like the audit in Arizona and the border crisis to drive is narrative in the race. Unlike many of the other candidates in the race, Greitens actually has significant statewide name ID which will allow him to focus more on his message than having to get out in front of voters at every chicken dinner across the state.
“These two states are ground zero for some of the most pressing issues facing our country today,” Greitens said in a statement. “In Arizona, the battle for election integrity has already proven that tens of thousands of fraudulent votes were cast in 2020 and, in Texas, the influx of illegal immigrants across the border shows the country is simply less safe with Joe Biden in office.”

Hartzler Endorsed By David Barton
Vicky Hartzler has added another name to her growing list of evangelical endorsements in her race for U.S. Senate. Barton, the founder of Texas-based WallBuilders and former vice-chair of the Texas Republican Party, said Hartzler’s conservative values would be vital in a time when “America’s future has never been more uncertain.”
“Now more than ever, we need strong conservatives who are willing to stand up and fight for the principles that our Founding Fathers delivered to us,” Barton said. “Vicky knows that we are in a battle for the heart and soul of our nation and never backs down from the tough fights, whether defending the Constitution or Judeo-Christian values. That’s why she has my full support as she runs for U.S. Senate.”
Hartzler faces Congressman Billy Long, Attorney General Eric Schmitt, former Gov. Eric Greitens, and attorney Mark McCloskey in the Republican primary.
Dems Face Headwinds From Unpopular Biden
Democratic Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe acknowledged to surrogates on a recent video teleconference call that President Biden is “unpopular” in the commonwealth ahead of what is expected to be a close election next month. “We gotta get Democrats out to vote,” McAuliffe said on the call. “We are facing a lot of headwinds from Washington. “As you know, the president is unpopular today, unfortunately, here in Virginia,” McAuliffe went on. “So, we have got to plow through.” The soundbite was posted on Twitter by the Republican National Committee (RNC) Monday evening. The McAuliffe campaign did not respond to requests for comment. Polls show a tight race between McAuliffe, a former head of the Democratic National Committee who served as Virginia governor between 2014 and 2018, and Republican businessman Glenn Youngkin. The latest RealClearPolitics average shows McAuliffe with a 4.3 percentage point lead over Youngkin as the race enters its final month.
