Sixteen Missouri legislators have asked Governor Parson to call an "extraordinary session" in order to counter Biden's recent tyrannical use of Executive Orders to force and coerce vaccinations across the country.

This petition urges Gov. Parson to call that session so that our legislators can protect Missourians--employers and employees--from the tyranny.

In Texas and Montana, Pro-Life Attitudes are Winning

Texas isn’t the only state trying to uphold abortion restrictions. Similar to Texas, Montana has faced legal challenges to several pro-life laws the Legislature recently passed. This week, Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen asked a district court to dismiss a lawsuit from Planned Parenthood challenging the new restrictions. One of Montana’s new laws bans abortion after 20 weeks' gestation. These and other protections are supposed to take effect on Oct. 1.Laws like this, and the challenges that seem to follow inevitably, will undoubtedly test controversial cases such as Roe v. Wade but may also ignite a long-overdue battle over federalism. Despite these challenges, these laws reflect the changing will toward a culture of life and show a desire to aid women with unplanned pregnancies, arming them with knowledge. They should stand. Alliance Defending Freedom is working alongside Montana’s attorney general on this case. They filed a brief on Tuesday with the 13th Judicial District Court in Yellowstone County explaining why Planned Parenthood’s attempt to block these laws should be tossed out. Their argument explains the importance of federalism, a concept that seems to be largely ignored today.

Dems Plan 26.5% Corporate Rate as Part of Tax Hike

House Democrats want to raise the corporate rate to 26.5 percent as part of nearly $3 trillion in tax increases to defray the cost of their next big spending package, while boosting to top rate for individuals to 39.6 percent. The Ways and Means Committee is also planning to call for a new 3 percent surtax on people making more than $5 million, sources familiar with Chair Richard Neal’s still-unreleased plan say, as well as increasing the top capital gains rate to 28.8 percent from 23.8 percent . Neal also wants to raise taxes on multinational corporations’ overseas profits, tighten estate tax rules and pare back deductions for some unincorporated businesses. And he wants new limits on supersized individual retirement accounts, additional restrictions on deductions companies take for highly compensated employees and new “wash sale” rules for people who own cryptocurrencies. Taken together, the proposals would be the biggest tax increase in decades and appear to be enough to cover most of what even progressive Democrats hope to spend on their coming "reconciliation" package. Lawmakers want the money to finance a dramatic expansion of the government’s safety net. The proposals, set to be formally unveiled as soon as Monday, would also amount to a major step forward for Democrats as they sort out their plans for what would likely be the most consequential legislation of the Biden administration.

Texas to award border wall contract as early as this week.

Texas may award a massive contract to begin building a barrier that stretches along more than 700 miles of the state’s border with Mexico as early as this week, according to the office overseeing the project. The Texas Facilities Commission, which oversees state contracts, said in a statement it anticipates awarding the border wall project with more than $1 billion in available funding by mid-September. 4 The commission selected engineering firm Michael Baker International, Inc., of Pennsylvania and design firm Huitt-Zollars of Dallas to team up on the project. The commissioners must vote on the decision before the contract for a program manager can be awarded, and the final monetary amount has not yet been determined. The program manager will handle the budget and determine where to build. Four total companies expressed interest in the contract. Both firms have helped with hundreds of miles of completed border wall projects under previous presidential administrations. This is the first time a state has opted to install a barrier at an international border, as it is typically considered the federal government's responsibility.
