Page Administration to Ask St. Louis County Council for New Mask Order

Sam Page is at it again, this time citing “expected increase” in Covid cases this fall as the reason for the mandate.  That’s right—the need for a new mandate is based on what they think will happen rather than what is actually happening.  Page is up for election next November and is currently being challenged by Republican State Representative Shamed Dogan of Ballwin Missouri.

Petition Calls For End to Ft. Zumwalt Mask Mandate

State Senator Bill Eigel: “Stop this insanity.  Stop mandating masks on our kids while they are at school.  This is such a disappointment for Fort Zumwalt School District and the Board Members should be ashamed of themselves for giving in to the culture of "Covid Craziness". One more reason to support school choice in our K12 system in the legislature next year. In the meantime, sign this petition to stop the forced masking of our kids in Fort Zumwalt.”

Senator Cindy O’Laughlin on CRT in Schools

It’s no secret there’s a lot of activist liberals in higher education. I for one don’t mind you having a different opinion than my own, I DO mind taxpayer funds going to activist training. Parents are expecting their kids to be educated to function successfully and independently in society.  This cannot happen if they are convinced the whole world doesn’t award them enough favors.

The CRT philosophy is rampant in government and in higher education. Why is this? Well my own reasoning tells me since those people don’t answer directly to the consumer they can do what they want. They are hidden within a volume of layers which can be very hard to penetrate. That is until enough people raise holy heck and create change. Which is what is happening now.

Parents don’t want kids taught that our nation is a terrible failure and people can’t advance based on their own ability and willingness to work hard. They don’t want their students, who are paying huge tuition rates to be told to complete an assignment where they describe how their privilege has affected others.  This is total nonsense.  By the way, it is generally being taught by someone who may have been hired for precisely the reason they say is a minus, which is to say based on their color, nationality, etc.  A secret hiding in plain sight is this:  many, many people have been given preference in promotions, business contracting, hiring and admission into schools not because they are more qualified but because they are not white males. This is just a fact that most don’t want to acknowledge. I’ve been told more than once the story of someone who wanted to work toward or apply for a promotion and they were told, “You will not get a promotion because you are not one of the minority classes.”

Let’s work for a world where people are all given opportunities to compete and qualify based on their abilities and experience. This is how we achieve an excellent world.

Why Biden’s Vaccine Mandate Fails the Constitutional Test

President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate represents a bold, unprecedented use of federal power. Despite its being advanced in the name of public health, and in the midst of a viral pandemic, it should fail because it undermines the Constitution’s balance between Congress and the president and between the federal and state governments. Congress has not vested the president with the power to govern every aspect of every office and factory in the nation, and even if it had, such a grant of sweeping power would violate the very division of authority between the national and state governments. In fact, the administration implicitly concedes that it does not have the power to order every American to obtain a vaccine against COVID-19. Instead, it has announced that it will issue an emergency order by way of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). OSHA is to issue a rule that private employers with 100 or more employees require their workers to get vaccinated or get tested on a weekly basis, or else lose their jobs. Apparently, small businesses and individuals remain exempt from the Biden vaccine command — a sign of the constitutional problems to come. OSHA is to promulgate this regulation as an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS), to go into effect immediately on publication, thus bypassing the ordinary rules of administrative procedure. Those rules would have required an extended period of public notice and comment.
